I carved the setting by hand in wax to follow its outline, so the bezel holds the stone exactly. From there the band continues in a deeply textured, organic surface. After carving, the ring was cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax process. The wax model doesn’t survive casting, so this ring cannot be reproduced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAlexandrite is known for changing colour with the light.
